about me

I'm Pedro Wiezel, a designer and developer from Curitiba, Brazil. My independent apps give me room to work through the product as a whole, from its interface to its App Store release. I have two apps on the store.

AI is a substantial part of how I build. It helps me implement and revise the software while I work through what the app should do and check the result. When preparing EXIF.ER 3.0, that included catching a screenshot that left out part of the real interface and checking release notes against what had actually changed.

I'm a scholarship student at the Apple Developer Academy PUCPR, where I also work on apps with designers and other developers. Cascade, my educational simulator for iPad, won the Swift Student Challenge in 2026.

I have a Psychology degree from UFPR. I keep coming back to why people stick with an app, or quietly stop opening it. With EXIF.ER, I'm also interested in what makes an occasional tool useful when someone needs it again.

Before any of the Swift, I spent three years at UFPR turning scientific manuscripts from Portuguese into English for publication abroad. I still do freelance translation now and then.

Right now I'm also doing an MBA in Digital Marketing, Technology and AI at PUCPR, mostly to get better at the half of shipping an app that isn't the app.
